Boğaziçi University

Boğaziçi University is among the most competent public research universities in Turkey. It aims to successfully realize its project goals with the cooperation of its expert faculty members. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Bayyurt Kerestecioğlu, Dr. Şebnem Yalçın, Dr. Yavuz Kurt, Prof. Dr. Emine Adadan, Prof. Dr. Diler Öner and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senem Yıldız-Ersoy,  from Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Can Yücesoy, Prof. Dr. Esin Öztürk Işık, Prof. Dr. Albert Güveniş and Prof. Dr. Cengizhan Öztürk, from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, and  Prof. Dr. Burçin Ünlü from the Department of Physics will work together to develop the continuous education platform during the establishment of the BU R&D School, place it on a specific pedagogical pattern and design engineering training in this context.

Boğaziçi University Learning and Teaching Center (CeTeLe: Center for Teaching and Learning)

The director Prof. Dr. Diler Öner and Prof. Dr. Yasemin Bayyurt (the director of this project) from CeTeLe Advisory Board takes part in this project as a researcher and consultant and, in collaboration with CeTeLe, raises awareness for both senior engineering students studying at the university and faculty members teaching at the faculty of engineering, based on the transformative learning approach that underlines the importance of scientific literacy in preparing engineering students for the sector. It is planned to organize trainings/seminars/workshops.

Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM)

The director Dr. Tamer Atabarut and Chairman of the Executive Board Prof. Dr. Necati Aras will collaborate on the transfer of the scientific knowledge developed in this project to lifelong learning trainings during the planning, creation and design of courses of BÜYEM and BU R&D School.

Kadir Has University Computer Engineering Department

Prof. Dr. Feza Kerestecioğlu will take part in the development of the online education platform in the project. Prof. Dr. Kerestecioğlu and Prof. Dr. Bayyurt will develop a platform similar to the platform they designed with the project team in the ERASMUS+ ENRICH project (http://enrichproject.eu, http://enrichproject.eu/the-cpd-course), which they completed in cooperation with their partners from Europe, for our BU R&D School project. 

Maltepe University

Dr. Gökçe Güvercin Seçkin from the Department of Education will support this project, as an adult education expert, in the training of trainers in different processes of the project.

ASPİLSAN Enerlji A.Ş.

The company was established on April 2, 1981 and can produce various batteries for many devices such as radios, equipment, aircraft and helicopters in civil and military areas. ASPİLSAN Enerji A.Ş., which produces with advanced technological means and produces solutions for energy needs. Working in the R&D unit, Dr. Özlem Köylü Alkan will provide the preparation of the contents to be presented in the test/verification work packages in the project, especially on testing/analysis for scaling and R&D.

Karel Kalıp Sanayi A.Ş.

The company has been producing molds in many areas, especially the automotive industry, since 1994 and offers engineering services with its R&D center. Dr. Alper Sarıkan, manager in R&D in Karel Elektronik Sanayi and Karel Kalıp Sanayi A.Ş., will contribute to the content design of BU R&D School regarding production processes.

Interact-Technologies

The company started working on robot and artificial intelligence technologies at Sabancı University in 2006, and develops innovative products especially in the field of physical rehabilitation therapy. Prof. Dr. Volkan Patoğlu will contribute to the production of content on biomedical device development.

Glakolens

The company was founded in 2017. Prof. Dr. Arda Yalçınkaya and Prof. Dr. Günhan Dündar, faculty members of  Boğaziçi University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, developed a biosensor to monitor intraocular blood pressure non-invasively and later founded the company Glakolens. In this project, Prof. Dr. Arda Yalçınkaya will contribute to our team in producing content on biomedical sensors.

Inovita

Life Sciences and Technologies Istanbul Collaboration Platform is a platform that aims to be an interface in university-industry collaborations in order to turn scientific research conducted and new technologies developed in the field of life sciences and technologies within the Istanbul Region into real economic value. Istanbul Health Industry Cluster (ISEK) is a cooperation project that aims to be a regional development project in the health sector in the Istanbul Region. In addition to its activities such as Medical Device Pilot Production Facility, Development of Medical Device Regional Accredited Testing Laboratories, Medical Sector Analyzes: Medical Sector Research and Production Power Inventory, Bio-Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program, it provides training, workshops and participation and representation services in international fairs for the needs of its members. İSEK/İnovita continues its work under the leadership of  Prof. Dr. Cengizhan Öztürk. Seda Şenol, Ahmet Turan Talaş and Selin Arslanhan, who work in these formations, will contribute to our project in establishing sectoral collaborations, meeting educators and determining the training topics needed in the sector.
